A few call her aggressive and outspoken. Others may describe her as dedicated and hardworking. Nevertheless, Clorissal Alcantara likes to think of herself as Motivated, Intelligent, Reviser, Ambitious, Courteous, Liberal, Energetic, and others may view her as Contiguous, Appreciative, Reliever, Extraordinary, Graceful, Incentive, Valuable, Experienced, Reassurance ----or, (MIRACLE CAREGIVER) for short. With her drive and aptitude, this executive officer, supporter, leader, and creative manager, has become one of the most influential figures in the state of Georgia.
Alcantara is the founder and CEO of Miracle Caregivers for Needy Children and Families, Inc. In 1999, the not-for-profit, publicly supported, non-religious organization was form for the sole purpose of providing a clean, safe, and nurturing environment for all poverty and distress Children, and Families, with special needs. Enhancing their lives through supportive programs and services is our main priority. Although we are aware that many organizations form their own missions, it is a fact that our mission is truly different from all others. This year, we have opened our doors to serve all Senior’s, those who are in need of 24-hour monitoring, and elderly who need assistance with living independently. Making A Difference in Family Lives; Creating Miracles through Love, Support,&Guidance Miracle Caregivers for Needy Children and Families, is the sister company of the Miracle Musical Productions Inc., an Atlanta-based entertainment, a communications company that was establish in 2007. Alcantara has been a guess speaker for Office Depot- Grand Opening ribbon cutting event, 1570 AM- “The Light”, WPXA-TV (PAX)-Karavida TV. January 15, 2007, Alcantara volunteered a live entertainment performance for Hosea Williams - Feed the Hungry & Homeless event. In 2007, Alcantara volunteered her time to speak at the University of Georgia - (UGA), and Ga. Tech College, Mc Lane Distribution Services, Golf Tournaments, and Bowl A-Thons, she also filmed a movie premier with Children’s Miracle Network, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta- Hugh Spalding Children’s Hospital, to view the movie premier locate the Miracle Kids, search for my son Albin Blunt-Alcantara: www.choa.org/cmn.
A native of Southwest Atlanta, Alcantara was still in high school when she began her dream in serving children and families at age 16, working as a volunteer for family and parents in the community. In 1987, Alcantara graduated from Frederick Douglass High, based in Atlanta, Georgia. After graduation, Alcantara enrolled as an engineer at Alabama A&M University. Several years passed, Alcantara traveled to Europe, there she married and began her mission. Alcantara also made a name for herself as a children and family advocate in Georgia, well supported by organizations, churches, and hospitals. Sickle Cell foundation of Georgia, United Mission, Hugh Spalding, Grady Health Systems (Sickle Cell Clinic), Children’s Miracle network, there are others who supports Alcantara’s mission.
Adding to this multi-talented entrepreneur’s hefty profile are several years of experience in fostering and adopting children with special needs. She was became a foster parent, after five years, Alcantara adopted six children. With such a busy schedule, it is wonderful that this tireless businessperson who finds time to adventure, searching for better opportunities to grow. Alcantara has attended Dekalb Technical College, majoring early childhood and education. However, aside from Angeline Jolie, Oprah Winfrey, and Dr. Phil, J.C. & Mary Barnswell, Ms. Alcantara children are her inspiration. However, even more inspiring to the budding mogul is her ultimate goal of owning her own building to network globally a variety of human services and sharing her mission with others.
Furthermore, she’s a member of the Georgia Center for Non-profits, United Way (Gift’s In-Kind); Clorissal Alcantara, she was honored in 2004 with the Best Achievement Award, Communications & Leadership Award, last but not least, Good Citizenship Honorary. With her hard work ethic, strong values, powerful energy and determined spirit, she has had the opportunity to execute her proficient contributions to the United Mission Church of God and Christ, in addition she has collaboratively honored her affiliates. Clorissal Alcantara’s mission is to continue to be premier entrepreneur and an Ambassador for children and families, promoting better health, education, safety, preventing homelessness, and giving back to the community.
Current projects (See Below) Company: Make-A-Wish Foundation of Georgia - A not-for- profit organization grant wishes to medically fragile children. A wish for studio equipment will be granted too Albin Blunt-Alcantara, a 13-year-old boy, Miracle Musical Productions will grant studio time for talented children and families who are living in poverty and distress. In November, my son Albin Blunt-Alcantara and I will speak at Spelman and Morehouse College.
Non-Profit Corporation Organization: Miracle Caregivers for Needy Children and Families, Inc doing business as Miracle Caregivers, a daycare facility for children, and a nursing facility for senior citizens is a necessity. Currently, we are searching for a building approximately three thousand square feet, with accommodations for fifty or more. Achieving the Greatest Capacities Spiritually, Mentally, Socially, and setting standards with a Charge to make Change.
